Workforce planning and staffing, also known as human resource planning and staffing, refers to the process of assessing the size and skills of the current workforce and anticipating future workforce needs in an effort to ensure that a sufficient pool of talent possessing the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities will be available to meet those future needs. Workforce Planning: Recruitment and Selection focuses on the knowledge and skills necessary for building a highly skilled workforce by using effective strategies and tactics for recruiting, selecting, hiring, and retaining employees.
