Tableau Environment

If you are new to Tableau, then you should watch and follow along with this video below. Your instructor may have you upload your Tableau workbook files (.twbx) from following along with the video tutorials in this chapter to demonstrate that you have completed these materials. See the checkpoint or quiz at the end of this chapter or speak to your instructor to know for sure.To follow along, download the data below. This ~25-minute video will likely take you about an hour or more to complete because you will need to pause it to follow along.

      Tableau 2020

      Tableau is now on version 2020.2 (or higher). However, the video above is based on Tableau 2019. Tableau hasn't created a new version of this "Getting Started" video yet unforutnately. However, this video is still the best way to get a high-level overview of the primary features. The one problem you may run into is translating the method of joining data sources in the video below into the new version of Tableau that you are likely using. Therefore, if you have any trouble, follow along with this video to join data sources in Tableau 2020. However, you can ignore this video if you figure it out on your own.
