Evaluating Your Resources

Many hopeful entrepreneurs think they need money to start their new venture. Actually, successful entrepreneurs use a host of resources other than money to get started; they think resources first, money second. They work from home, find mentors, use free software, acquire used equipment, partner with their first customers, obtain credit from suppliers, and borrow before they rent or buy.

The important thing now is to determine what resources you will need to create your product prototype and get it into the market. You don’t necessarily need funding to do this, but you do need resources. The questions below will help you determine if you have access to the resources you need to get started.
