So, the real work begins with gaining skills and practicing them. This course on logic and rhetoric is designed with these skills and practice in mind. Topic 2 will build the foundation of good communication with a study on arguments. We’ll learn about different kinds of arguments and their features, and we’ll learn how to evaluate them. We’ll pay special attention to successful patterns of argument and what makes them good. Topics on arguments will cover roughly the first half of this course.

The second half will focus on how to use arguments and other communication techniques in order to share clear messages and persuade your audiences. We’ll see many practical examples and learn many skills that you will come back to again and again in this and other communications courses.
