Everyone tells stories—about themselves, others, and their lives. This course is all about stories and how they work.

We can use stories to communicate all sorts of messages. Sometimes there’s nothing more to a story than the story itself, but we can also use stories to frame other information. The elements of stories are flexible enough to be used in many different circumstances. Combining good writing with a knowledge of stories will help us communicate clearly.
