You can use Excel 365 or Excel 2019 for Windows or Mac or Excel Online to complete the activities in this course. Please note that the cloud-based online version of Excel requires an internet connection and a Microsoft account to operate properly with the course materials; files downloaded and saved will be stored on OneDrive.

The version of Microsoft Excel you need for this course is part of the Microsoft Office Suite and is often available at little or no cost to current students. Your instructor may have information on how to download a free or reduced-price copy of Excel.

Accessing the Online Version of Excel

The online version of Excel uses a browser window to display the Excel workbook. If you plan to use the online version, you will need a Microsoft account. You can create your Microsoft account for free if you don’t currently have an account. To access Excel Online, use this link: Office Live Excel.

If you are not currently logged into your Microsoft account, Microsoft will prompt you to sign in or create an account.
