DNA will be covered in Chapter 15. Although it is widely accepted as an important part of genealogy, DNA research is a different approach to genealogy than just document and record searches. Genetic genealogy utilizes documents for triangulation after the science points the researcher to certain biological connections.1 Thus, it could be considered an innovative and creative approach to family history research.
