Information in this course is organized into lessons. Each lesson covers a related set topics and will include:

  • Embedded or linked readings and videos that are clear and easy to understand

  • Instructional graphics or charts that reinforce learning in a visual format

  • Glossary terms that are called out the first time they appear; these terms are shown in blue font and are bolded. Hovering over a term makes its definition appear. You can also access the overall glossary from the right-hand menu in the course to search terms and view their definitions.

  • Practice problems embedded throughout each lesson give you the chance to practice the concept that you are learning. Learning checks provide hints and targeted, immediate feedback to guide you if you struggle.

  • Test your skills assessments give you the opportunity to do a quick self-check to assess your own understanding of the material before moving on to the next lesson.

Grading assignments

Each of the assignments in this course is a hands-on experience. Tasks are scored automatically. You will want to carefully read the instructions for the tasks and review the automated feedback you receive when you have completed an assignment. Grades for each assignment are automatically uploaded and stored in a course gradebook.
